Sheri
McKelfreshSheri is the artistic director of Centennial Children's Chorus, and directs Cantare and Sale Voce. She previously directed Bel Canto for seven years. She is retired from public school teaching and currently has a private voice studio in her home and is the interim Chancel Choir director at our Saviour's Lutheran Church and a member of the Larimer Chorale. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Colorado State University and a master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado.
Karen
Nuttall Karen begins her first year as director of the Bel Canto choir. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Colorado State University, a master's degree in Education from Lesley University, and Suzuki Piano Instructor certification. She currently has a piano studio in her home. Prior to returning to Ft. Collins she taught and performed at the Wausau Conservatory of Music and Wausau Suzuki Association in Wisconsin. She currently teaches music at Timnath Elementary where she directs a 90 voice choir. This group was chosen to sing at the Colorado Music Educators Convention in January '08. Karen has taught in public schools in for 20 years, several of those years in Loveland and Texas and 16 years in PSD.
Marlene
HuttonMarlene begins her second year directing Jubilate, taking the reins from Karlin Gray, who led Jubilate from its inception for eight years. Marlene taught middle school band, orchestra, and choir in Kansas for 3 years before moving to Colorado in 1995. Since then she has taught private piano and voice lessons, and has directed youth and adult choirs at churches in Fort Collins, Topeka, and Iwakuni, Japan. She also served as Assistant Director for Cantare and Sala Voce for four years under Peggy Rosenkranz. Marlene earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 1990 from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.
Kaitlin
SilarKaitlin Silar is beginning her first year as the assistant director for Centennial Children’s Chorus. Having spent the last six years as a graduate assistant for Bel Canto, Kaitlin is excited to be working with Cantare and Sala Voce and is very proud of the fact that she was a six year member of CCC from 3rd through 8th grades! Currently, Kaitlin is in her second year as Director of Choirs at Fort Collins High School where she directs A Cappella, Select Women’s Choir, Men’s Choir and Concert Choir and also co-directs the musical. She also teaches Tower Singers, a small jazz ensemble. Kaitlin received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 2007.
Hedy Reynolds
Hedy is in her twelfth year with CCC and is the accompanist for Cantare. She has served as an accompanist for the Colorado State University Music Department, Open Stage Theater, Junior High Honor Choirs, the Fort Collins Symphony Young Artist auditions, and various local music teachers' studio recitals. Hedy holds bachelor's degrees in music (piano performance) and music education from the University of Montana, and a master's degree in exercise physiology from Colorado State University. She currently works at CSU in the College of Engineering Business Office, and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Fort Collins Symphony and the Fort Collins Symphony Guild.
Alice Crawford
Alice begins her first year with CCC as the new accompanist for Bel Canto. She has spent her full time musical career as organist, accompanist and children's music director in large churches including 1st United Methodist Church in Boise, ID, 1st Presbyterian Church in Boulder, CO and The Falls Church in Falls Church, VA, before moving to Fort Collins in May of 2007. She is currently Director of Children's Music Ministry at 1st Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins, accompanist to the Colorado Youth Chorale and maintains a piano studio in her home. Alice is a graduate of Westminster Choir College at Ryder University, Princeton, NJ, with a Bachelor of Music degree.
Amy Chase
Amy is in her sixth year with CCC and is the accompanist for Sala Voce. She has served as a pianist and vocalist at Faith Evangelical Free Church for the past sixteen years. After majoring in church music/piano performance at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Amy began a professional accompanying and teaching career. She is currently on the teaching faculty at Faith Academy of Fine Arts, and accompanies various local artists and groups.
Kristy Klenk
Kristy is in her second year with CCC as the accompanist for Jubilate. Kristy has been playing the piano since she was 6 and has enjoyed playing the organ and piano for several churches. She accompanied the Fossil Ridge High School choir for two years and currently plays piano for the worship team at Providence Bible Church.
