We like to let our families know about other quality arts organizations in Northern Colorado. Most of these are non-profits with a heart for music and families. These organizations are based in Fort Collins unless otherwise noted. If you have an update or another to add, please contact us!

Fort Collins Music Teachers Association - connects enthusiastic students with passionate instructors in the northern Colorado region.

Foundation Music School - early childhood music, instrument programs, and music therapy programs

Off the Hook Arts - low-cost music performance education for students, while cultivating a love of performing arts through stellar public concerts and special events. The Chamber Music Academy services students from age 5 through college. They combine science themes with music for public winter and summer festivals.

Debut Theater - Theater for young people, by young people. You can find troupes, classes, and workshops for youth interested in theater. Don’t miss their excellent and affordable family-friendly fall performances at the Lincoln Center.

La-De-Da - offers classes and camps year round for preschoolers to adults, offering all things theater from improv to musical theatre.

Lost Marbles Theatrics - Christian acting troupe for homeschooled high-school youth in Northern Colorado

Windsor Community Playhouse - small family-oriented community playhouse in Windsor with a mix of humor, drama, musicals, children’s shows, and holiday shows

Canyon Concert Ballet - provides high quality dance training and performance opportunities for children and adults. You can learn ballet, contemporary, modern, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, tap, and musical theater. They are well-known for the annual Nutcracker performance at the Lincoln Center, among many other public performances.

Larimer Chorale - an auditioned adult choir that meets and performs in Fort Collins. Larimer Chorale initiated the Centennial Children’s Chorus. Their concerts are beautiful and very popular in the community. Little known fact - they offer $10 student tickets and children under 8 can get a free ticket to attend with an adult. The Chorale has two special ensembles as well as the community singing group - the Silvertones.

Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra - this regional adult orchestra provides an excellent season of concerts each year, with free open rehearsals, a Youth Education Series for 4th & 5th graders, and the Musical Zoo especially for 3-12 year old children.

Loveland Concert Band - this is an adult community band that performs free family-friendly concerts throughout the year, with summer concerts at the lake in Loveland.

Opera Fort Collins - in addition to opera concerts, you can find free apprentice concerts, classes for seniors and young people, Tea with a Diva, and monthly “Arias@Avo’s” events.

Fort Collins Museum of Discovery - a large part of this hands-on museum is dedicated to music — kids and adults can play a variety of instruments, find out about music history in Fort Collins, and learn science concepts tied to music and waves. A fun place to play and make music.
